Suits Season 2 Episode 5 - Break Point

Harvey faces challenges with the arrival of Allison Holt, an attorney hired by Daniel Hardman, who doubts Harvey's claims about not receiving a crucial memo. Meanwhile, Mike takes on a case to help a talented young tennis player, Marco Mendoza, emancipate himself from his controlling father. In the midst of this, Donna is forced to make a decision that could have significant consequences for her future at Pearson Hardman.

Harvey and Jeffrey meet with Marco Mendoza, a promising tennis prodigy that Jeffrey wants to represent. Harvey assigns Mike to handle the case and represent Marco in court. However, Marco fabricates a story about his father's abuse to seek emancipation. Mike later discovers that Marco lied and his father wasn't present on the day the charges were filed.

Donna attempts to protect Harvey by shredding the memo, but Mike learns about it. As Harvey is about to sign an affidavit stating that the firm never received the memo, Mike spills coffee on it to prevent him from committing perjury and destroying evidence. Harvey confronts Donna in the restroom and expresses his anger, but he makes it clear that he won't fire her despite his threats.

Louis brings his sick cat to work, causing Harold to develop allergies. Later, Louis discovers that his cat had a serious health issue and had to be put down. Rachel advises Louis to show the same care and consideration for his associates as he did for his cat. She gets a signed tennis ball from Marco and gives it to Louis, demonstrating respect and support for him as her boss.

Jessica, Daniel, Allison, and Harvey work together to find a resolution to a critical issue. Allison pushes for a settlement, but Harvey is determined to win the case. Daniel and Jessica engage in a cold battle over the matter and ultimately decide to protect Harvey, the firm, and Jessica's position by firing Donna. Jessica dismisses Donna, who packs her belongings and leaves. Mike and Rachel are shocked by Donna's departure and believe that Harvey will intervene to keep her at Pearson Hardman. However, Harvey silently watches as Donna leaves, pressing the elevator button without saying a word.

Daniel Hardman hires Allison Holt as outside counsel to assist in the defense against the fraud lawsuit. However, it becomes apparent that Allison does not trust Harvey's claim of not receiving the memo. She presents a settlement offer from Travis Tanner, which includes Pearson Hardman paying millions, covering all legal fees, revoking Harvey's partnership, and reporting him to the Bar. Jessica rejects the deal.

Mike discovers that Donna possesses the buried memo and urges her to inform Harvey before he does. However, when Allison presents Jessica with an affidavit denying receipt of the memo, which she asks Harvey to sign, Mike spills coffee on it to prevent Harvey from committing perjury. Mike then reveals to Harvey that Donna has the memo, leading to a confrontation between Harvey and Donna. Harvey expresses his disappointment that Donna hid the memo from him and becomes enraged when he realizes she shredded it. He then informs Allison, Hardman, and Jessica about the situation.

Jessica has Hardman dismiss Allison due to her lack of faith in Harvey's integrity. As a result, Donna's employment at Pearson Hardman is terminated by Jessica.
