Gabriel Swann Macht is an American actor and film producer. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Harvey Specter in the television series Suits and as the lead character in the superhero film The Spirit. Born on January 22, 1972, in The Bronx, New York, Gabriel was raised in California after his family relocated there when he was young. 

He comes from a Jewish background, with his mother Suzanne Victoria Pulier being a museum curator and archivist, and his father Stephen Macht being an actor. Gabriel has three siblings: Jesse, Ari Serbin, and Julie.

Gabriel's acting career began at a young age, and he received a nomination for the Best Young Motion Picture Actor Award for his role in the film Why Would I Lie? when he was only eight years old. 

After a brief hiatus from acting, he returned as an adult and took on notable roles in various films and television shows. He attended Carnegie Mellon College of Fine Arts, graduating in 1994. Throughout his career, Gabriel has maintained his involvement in theater, including performances with the Mad Dog Theater Company.

In addition to his work on screen and stage, Gabriel is also a film producer. He gained a devoted fan base through his portrayal of the title character in the 2008 film adaptation of The Spirit, despite the movie's initial lackluster reception. 

However, his most prominent role came in 2011 when he joined the cast of the USA Network drama Suits, playing the charismatic and sharp-witted lawyer Harvey Specter. The series ran for nine seasons, and Gabriel appeared in all episodes. He even received co-producer credit during the show's third season.

On a personal note, Gabriel Macht married actress Jacinda Barrett in 2004, and they have two children together: a daughter named Satine Anais Geraldine Macht, born in 2007, and a son named Luca, born in 2014. Gabriel has maintained a close friendship with his Suits co-star Sarah Rafferty, whom he met in 1993 at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. In 2018, he attended the wedding of his co-star Meghan Markle to Prince Harry.

Gabriel Macht follows a vegetarian lifestyle and is passionate about green living. He splits his time between New York, Los Angeles, and the Sunshine Coast in Australia. His Ashkenazi Jewish heritage is present on both sides of his family.
